Seabrook!

The Seabrook marathon was this weekend. 2 years ago we ran the marathon relay with Jennie and Chris. Last year we signed up to come, but the day before the race we had a badly hurt knee and a sick child between us, so we decided against it. This year we decided Friday night that we should do it. So we woke up at 4:45am and headed the 65 miles to Seabrook. We had such a blast! We all ran well and the kids played a LOT. Go Team RWB!

We saw ZZ Top at the rodeo, and it was so awesome!

Jennie and Chris came with us, while Mary watched all the boys at our house.

Benjamin started out riding his bike to the park, but that only lasted 100 yards and he wanted to run. He insisted on wearing his gloves even though it was over 70 degrees.

Last weekend we were at The Woodlands Marathon - spectating that is...Chris and Jennie ran the half together, and so did Jason. So Emily and Cameron came with us to watch. It was so cold and a little rainy, but the boys had fun playing in the bounce houses after the race.

I wanted to write something funny about Benjamin before I forget. At night before we begin our normally somewhat short prayer, Benjamin has been asking that I pray for him not to be scared of the bat and that he will be safe with Team OomiZoomi, Diego, Dora, Boots, BubbleGuppies, and the Fresh Beat Band. I'm feeling like he might be watching too much TV. ??

Hello!

We were playing in the back yard after church this past Sunday. We had such a fun time chasing each other, playing bubbles and swinging.
I just gave Jonathan a haircut a couple of days ago. It was getting so long! See below for the difference. Jonathan is not the sitting-still type, so I had Brandon feed him marshmallows while I attempted his haircut. It was a semi-success...

"What is Benjamin wearing?" you might ask. This is his glow-in-the-dark skeleton shirt that was from Halloween. He asks to wear it at least every other day. He REALLY wanted to wear it to church on Sunday - he was denied. But, I let him change as soon as we got back home.

I took these pictures last Friday. After I ran with the boys, we stopped at the park. It was so cold, so we didn't stay very long. This brown shirt is Benjamin's other favorite shirt. I have no idea why - maybe it's the colors or that it's so soft. He insists on wearing it with his brown pants, which aren't really the same color brown as the shirt but I'm trying to get over it. He wears this outfit 3-4 times a week. I guess it's better than his Superman costume...

February, already here?

Well, I am way behind on posting pictures. Partly it's because we lost our camera battery a couple months ago, and I've just been taking pictures on my phone. The other part is it's difficult to find free time these days...
